Apply a pea-sized amount of product to clean, dry face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, this is when the magic of the enzymatic mask works. Rinse with lukewarm water and apply your usual skincare. Use 1 to 2 times a week for a regular gentle exfoliation. For an enhanced anti-spot exfoliating effect, combine it with your Nohèm radiance serum for a 4-week treatment.

Leave on for a few minutes and work it in
circular motions to help remove dead skin cells before rinsing with lukewarm water. The skin is ready for a bath of active ingredients, it's time to apply a mask right after (collalift or sheet mask).

What is an enzymatic face scrub and how does it work?

An enzymatic scrub exfoliates the skin using plant-derived enzymes (papaya, pineapple, fig) that dissolve the bonds between dead cells and living skin. Unlike a traditional scrub with grains, there is no mechanical friction: the enzymatic peel is therefore perfectly suited for reactive skin, sensitive skin, and mature skin. The result: immediately smoother, brighter skin, ready to receive subsequent treatments.

What is the difference between an enzymatic scrub and an acid scrub?

The enzymatic scrub uses biological enzymes to break down keratin on the surface, whereas a glycolic acid scrub or a fruit acid scrub (AHA) works by altering the skin's pH to dislodge dead cells. The Nohèm face scrub combines these two approaches for enhanced effectiveness: enzymes smooth the surface while AHAs deeply refine skin texture. Both are grain-free exfoliants, gentle and non-irritating.

Is the enzymatic face scrub suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, the grain-free face scrub was specifically designed for sensitive skin. With no microbeads or abrasive powders, it exfoliates without altering the skin barrier. Our enzymatic scrub for sensitive skin formula includes soothing active ingredients that neutralize potential redness and enhance comfort during application. It is also suitable for combination skin thanks to its pore-purifying action.

How does the Nohèm enzymatic scrub stand out from the competition?

Our enzymatic radiance scrub is the result of formulation in our partner laboratories. It concentrates high-quality enzymes combined with carefully dosed fruit acids for a professional result at home. Sulfate-free, silicone-free, mineral oil-free, a clean formula with proven effectiveness that makes the Nohèm face scrub the best ally for all natural beauty routines.

How often should an enzymatic face scrub be used?

For sensitive or reactive skin, once a week is sufficient. For combination skin or blemish-prone skin, twice a week optimizes the benefits of the facial peeling scrub. Avoid combining your enzymatic exfoliant with other exfoliating active ingredients (retinoids, concentrated vitamin C) on the same evening to avoid weakening the skin.

Frequently asked questions

The enzymatic radiance scrub uses plant-based enzymes, notably papain from papaya, which dissolve the bonds between dead cells and living skin. Unlike a classic scrub with grains, there is no mechanical friction. The result: smoother, more luminous skin, ready to receive subsequent treatments.

Enzymatic exfoliation degrades keratin on the surface, while acid exfoliation (AHA/glycolic acid) works by altering skin pH. The Nohèm formula combines both approaches: enzymes smooth the surface, while glycolic acid refines the skin's texture in depth, for enhanced effectiveness.

Nohèm's enzymatic radiance scrub has a fresh, fruity fragrance, in keeping with its natural active ingredients (lemon, papaya).

For sensitive or reactive skin, once a week is sufficient. For combination or blemish-prone skin, twice a week optimizes results. Avoid combining it with other exfoliating actives (retinoids, concentrated vitamin C) on the same evening to avoid sensitizing the skin.
