How to fight against skin imperfections?

on Feb 15 2024
Do you dream of smoother skin, a radiant complexion, and finally saying goodbye to skin imperfections that dull your daily life? Whether you have oily skin, prone to pimples, blackheads, or enlarged pores, there are natural and effective solutions to regain clear skin and rebalance it. Thanks to gentle purifying treatments, enriched with powerful plant active ingredients, and an adapted routine, you can act deeply while respecting the fragile balance of your epidermis. Discover our advice and products from Ayurvedic cosmetics for a global, benevolent, and effective approach against imperfections. Why is oily skin prone to skin imperfections? If you have oily skin, you know how common imperfections can be. This is due to an overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands, which leads to shiny areas and makes it difficult to maintain flawless makeup. How do skin imperfections form and how are they treated? When the sebaceous glands produce an excess of sebum, it can accumulate on the skin's surface and clog pores, creating an environment favorable to the development of bacteria responsible for skin inflammation, such as pimples, microcysts, or blackheads. Over time, these impurities can also cause enlarged pores, giving the skin an irregular appearance. To effectively combat these imperfections, it is essential to adopt a complete purifying routine: a gentle cleanser, a non-abrasive exfoliant, a deep-cleansing mask, and targeted anti-pimple treatments enriched with natural active ingredients such as vegetable charcoal, rice powder, or green clay. Our anti-imperfection treatments support you in this process by helping to regulate sebum, refine skin texture, and reveal the natural radiance of your complexion, while respecting the skin barrier. What are the key ingredients in our anti-blemish treatments and how do they work? Our anti-blemish treatments are carefully formulated with natural ingredients renowned for their purifying, sanitizing, and balancing properties. Vegetable charcoal, a true impurity magnet, helps to deeply detoxify the skin and unclog obstructed pores. Rice powder, soft and absorbent, refines skin texture while mattifying the complexion. Horse chestnut, with its toning and astringent virtues, promotes microcirculation and reduces the appearance of enlarged pores. Lemongrass, for its part, is a powerful natural antibacterial, ideal for reducing skin eruptions. Black seed oil, known for its anti-inflammatory and regulating properties, soothes sensitive areas and helps to rebalance oily skin. Finally, Neroli essential oil helps to revitalize the epidermis and promote the healing of imperfections. Together, these active ingredients act in synergy to offer your skin complete care, respectful of its microbiome, for a clearer, more radiant, and lastingly balanced complexion. What are the steps for a good cleansing routine for oily, blemish-prone skin? To take care of your oily skin, it is essential to cleanse your face morning and evening with a suitable cleanser. For this, we recommend using our rice powder exfoliating face powder, which will gently exfoliate your face and remove impurities. And don't forget to thoroughly remove your makeup every evening with a natural makeup remover lotion or our gentle organic makeup remover jelly, before applying your nighttime moisturizing treatments.  Which products should be favored to exfoliate and deeply purify oily skin? For deep cleansing, nothing beats a good face scrub followed by a mask. This helps eliminate impurities and deeply purify your skin. Should oily, blemish-prone skin be moisturized, and how should you choose your cream? Yes, it's important to moisturize your skin even if it's oily. This prevents your skin from producing even more sebum to compensate. It's important to hydrate it with humectant active ingredients, not nourishing ones, which won't be suitable for your skin type! Opt for light, non-comedogenic creams to avoid clogging your pores. What are our recommended products for hydrating and treating imperfections? Before applying your serum and cream, remember to use a mattifying lotion to tone and prepare your skin. And if, despite everything, you still have some persistent pimples, a treatment oil is there to act deeply. It also helps with skin healing. How to protect oily, blemish-prone skin from the sun? In summer, your oily skin may seem less prone to imperfections. But be careful, this is only temporary! To prevent problems from returning in full force after summer, remember to use a suitable sun care product to protect your skin from the sun's harmful effects. How to prevent the appearance of imperfections in the long term? Adopting an adapted skincare routine is essential, but prevention also plays a key role in maintaining clear and healthy skin long-term. It is important not to aggress your skin with overly harsh products that disrupt the skin barrier and promote microbiome imbalances. Incorporate gentle purifying treatments, rich in plant-based active ingredients, such as activated charcoal or rice powder, into your routine. These help unclog pores while respecting skin sensitivity. Also consider a gentle face scrub one to two times a week to prevent dead skin cell buildup, and prioritize non-comedogenic products daily, including in your makeup. Finally, a balanced lifestyle, good hydration, and stress reduction can help reduce skin breakouts and preserve complexion radiance.   Fighting imperfections isn't just about covering up pimples with makeup. It's primarily about learning to understand your skin, to take care of it with adapted products that are non-comedogenic, purifying yet respectful. Thanks to our Ayurvedic anti-imperfection range, every step of your routine becomes a step towards healthy, balanced, and luminous skin. Remember that the key lies in regularity, gentleness... and a little patience. Your skin deserves all your attention, and good natural care can truly make a difference.

The effects of sleep on the skin

on Feb 05 2024
The benefits of restorative sleep on the skin are obvious. When it comes to skin beauty, the expression "getting restorative sleep" takes on its full meaning. After a night that is too short or restless, the mirror doesn't lie: the complexion is dull, dark circles deepen, the skin looks tired, and the face appears fatigued. This phenomenon is normal: the skin hasn't had the necessary time to repair and regenerate. Yet, sleep is not just simple rest; it's a true natural treatment, an essential phase where the skin actively works on its regeneration. Discover how it repairs itself during the night... and how to make the most of it! The Skin's Regeneration Cycle Skin, just like us, follows a circadian rhythm, also known as "cutaneous chronobiology" or the skin's "biorhythm." This mechanism, linked to daylight and nighttime darkness, influences how the skin functions throughout the 24 hours of a day. Daytime light prompts the skin to adopt a defensive mode, acting as a barrier against external aggressions such as pollution, sun, wind, and dust particles. At night, the skin abandons its protective role to focus on regeneration and cell renewal. During the Night, Skin Regenerates in Silence During the night, the skin enters a "resting" phase, which doesn't mean inactivity, but rather tranquility, allowing it to repair itself in the absence of external aggressions. Cell regeneration involves increased cell division, multiplying skin cells up to three times more than during the day. This process requires energy, provided by increased blood circulation during the night. The skin becomes more permeable, opening its pores and facilitating the absorption of active ingredients present in night care products. After a good night's sleep, the skin has had time to regenerate, producing collagen and elastin. Cell renewal and increased microcirculation ensure a fresh complexion and reduce dark circles. The skin is better oxygenated, and its nocturnal permeability enhances the effectiveness of applied treatments. To optimize these benefits, it is recommended to thoroughly cleanse the skin before bed and apply a night cream. When Lack of Sleep Shows on Your Face Deprived of rest, the skin cannot regenerate properly.Signs of fatigue appear: dull complexion, pronounced dark circles, drawn features, loss of elasticity and skin slackening, not to mention imperfections that appear more easily. Lack of sleep disrupts the secretion of melatonin, a key hormone for biological rhythm, and promotes oxidative stress, one of the main culprits of premature skin aging. In short: without sleep, skin ages faster.   Beautiful Skin: Habits to Adopt for Restorative Sleep To regain radiant skin, there's no need to revolutionize everything: often, simply restoring a good balance between rest and care is enough. Here are some simple and natural rituals: 1. Offer Your Skin a Soothing Evening Ritual Thoroughly cleanse your face to remove impurities, then apply an organic night cream suitable for your skin type.Textures rich in vegetable oils, natural hyaluronic acid, or antioxidant active ingredients support the nocturnal regeneration process. (Nohèm's tip: apply your cream in slow, circular motions to stimulate microcirculation and relax facial features.) 2. Create an Atmosphere Conducive to Sleep A slightly cool room (16 to 18 °C), soft light, a relaxing herbal tea, or a few deep breaths can be enough to trigger letting go.Have a good mattress and clean sheets. Avoid screens before bed: blue light delays melatonin production, which disrupts sleep and, by extension, skin regeneration. 3. Adopt a Holistic Wellness Routine Dine lightly and early to avoid difficult digestion. Try to sleep 7 to 9 hours a night. Reduce stress through meditation, reading, or walking. Stay hydrated throughout the day. These simple actions improve sleep quality and naturally enhance skin vitality. Sleep: The First Natural Beauty Treatment Every night, while you sleep, your skin regenerates, repairs, and recharges with energy.Sleep is therefore much more than a biological need: it is an essential beauty act, as important as a good cream. So tonight, turn off the screens, breathe deeply, and let your skin do what it does best: regenerate naturally.

The benefits of facialism to fight against wrinkles

on Jan 29 2024
The daily application of an anti-aging treatment is essential to preserve the skin's youthfulness. But using it with adapted gestures and facial massage techniques multiplies its benefits! Originating from Asia, facialism is an essential method to firm, revitalize, and smooth the epidermis. This holistic practice not only helps maintain the skin but also makes you feel good in your body and mind. What is facialism? The face has about fifty muscles which, like those in the rest of the body, need to be stimulated to remain firm and toned. Facialism relies on precise facial massage movements, adapted to each skin type and need. The goal? To lift, plump, and tone the epidermis while releasing accumulated tension. This technique combines well-being and effectiveness: in addition to targeting signs of aging, it contributes to mental relaxation, offering an experience that is both relaxing and anti-aging. The benefits of facialism for the skin Adopting facialism in your beauty routine allows you to: Prevent and correct wrinkles thanks to better muscle tone in the face. Stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins for firm and elastic skin. Promote blood microcirculation, for a radiant complexion and better cell oxygenation. Detoxify the skin by eliminating cellular waste. Relax hypertonic muscles and tone looser muscles. Facialism therefore offers a natural and non-invasive response to the signs of aging, while respecting the specific needs of each skin. Essential facialism techniques Kobido Kobido is an ancient Japanese facial massage, known for its dynamic movements that stimulate blood flow and activate cell regeneration. This technique warms the muscles and visibly smoothes facial features. Muscle stretching This method aims to stretch muscle fibers to relax features and smooth wrinkles. It is ideal for skin marked by stress or tension. Massage accessories To enhance the effects of facialism, tools such as the gua sha, jade roller, or face cups are valuable allies. Moisturizing body cream: how to choose the right one?

on Jan 25 2024
How to take care of your body by hydrating it? Hydrating the body is one of our favorite well-being rituals! Body cream, whether moisturizing, soothing or nourishing, becomes a daily essential to adopt throughout the year to guarantee optimal comfort for our skin. Among the essentials in the beauty kit, body moisturizers stand out for their ability to delicately nourish the skin and protect it. To find the treatment perfectly suited to your skin type , it is crucial to pay attention to the composition and choose the formula that meets your needs. What moisturizer should you choose for your body? The ideal product for the body accomplishes the triple mission of hydrating, nourishing and protecting on a daily basis. Some treatments even go so far as to soothe and repair damaged skin. The specific composition of certain moisturizers makes them particularly suitable for sensitive or very dry skin. Therefore, it is essential to know your skin type in order to select the formulation best suited to your body moisturizer. Delicate, the moisturizing body milk is characterized by a light and fluid texture providing an immediate feeling of freshness. It nourishes the skin without excess richness, penetrating quickly into the epidermis without leaving a greasy film. Perfect for daily use on normal or oily skin! Applying moisturizing body creams is a quick and easy pleasure. A little more nourishing than a body milk, the moisturizing body cream is nevertheless easily absorbed by the epidermis, providing immediate comfort. It works wonders on normal or dry skin. Moisturizing balms and body butters, rich in lipids, are the perfect allies for sensitive, damaged or very dry skin. They represent an ideal and restorative treatment to gently face the rigors of winter. As for body care oil , it is particularly suitable for dry or very dry skin. Its non-greasy formula makes it a summer star for satin-smooth skin. In winter, in colder weather, it nourishes both normal skin and very dry skin. Moisturizing body cream: the right steps to apply it It is important to note that applying your moisturizer to slightly damp skin, after a shower or bath, always guarantees best results. Thus, its composition penetrates more easily into the heart of the epidermis, leaving a protective fatty film to maintain optimal hydration. To intensify the effect of your body moisturizer, do not hesitate to apply it just after a body scrub: soft skin is guaranteed, even for dry and very dry skin! Nohèm moisturizing body cream Explore a world of body care with Nohèm , plant-based formulas that are gentle on the skin and respectful of nature! Combining olfactory delicacy, pronounced effectiveness and pleasure of application, our moisturizing body cream or our balm naturally gently hydrate your skin to enhance it every day in a pleasant and lasting way.

They can quickly become dry, uncomfortable, tingly, and tight. To prevent dryness, moisturize your lips at least twice a day, morning and evening, with a hydrating lip balm. Internal hydration is just as crucial, so make sure to drink at least 1.5 liters of water or hydrating infusion per day and consume fruits and vegetables rich in water and vitamins. Prefer gentle exfoliation 1 to 2 times a week with a fine-grained facial scrub. Then apply a generous amount of lip balm and reapply several times a day to restore soft and comfortable lips. All about body scrubs: benefits, choices, and usage tips

on Jan 22 2024
Have you ever stroked your arm and felt that your skin lacked softness? That it seemed dull, rough, as if covered with a veil? This is normal. Between friction from clothes, pollution, or simply the frantic pace of everyday life, our skin sometimes needs a little attention. A moment just for ourselves, a bubble of care that awakens radiance and softness. This is where body scrub comes in, like a small regenerating ritual to adopt without moderation. Why use a body scrub? Body scrub is an essential treatment to keep skin soft, radiant and healthy. Through exfoliation, it removes dead cells that accumulate on the skin's surface, thus promoting cell renewal. Certain seasons are also more conducive to this type of care, such as in summer. But what are the real benefits of a scrub? Refine skin texture: exfoliation helps to smooth the skin and make it more even. Improve the absorption of moisturizing treatments: skin freed from impurities absorbs nourishing creams and oils better. Prevent ingrown hairs: ideal before hair removal, scrubbing releases hairs under the skin. Stimulate microcirculation: by massaging the skin, scrubbing improves blood circulation, firms the skin and reduces the appearance of orange peel skin. Prolong your tan: in summer, regular exfoliation prevents your tan from becoming dull and uneven. Which body scrub should you choose for your skin type? It is important to choose an exfoliant adapted to your skin to avoid irritation. Here's how to make the right choice: Sensitive or dry skin: opt for a gentle scrub, enriched with moisturizing agents such as shea butter or sweet almond oil. Normal to combination skin: choose a scrub with medium grains, such as sugar or crushed fruit shells. Oily skin: a purifying exfoliant based on clay or sea salt will help regulate excess sebum. The Nohèm organic body scrub combines natural ingredients such as date oil, shea butter and black seed oil for effective and nourishing exfoliation. Its exfoliating grains from argan shells respect even the most sensitive skin. How to exfoliate your body properly? Are you wondering how to use a body scrub? Here are the key steps for radiant skin: Prepare your skin: exfoliate in the shower or after a warm bath to open pores and soften the skin. Apply the product: take a generous amount of scrub and apply it to damp skin. Massage in circular motions: start from your feet and work your way up to stimulate blood circulation. Pay particular attention to rough areas (elbows, knees, heels). Rinse thoroughly: use lukewarm water to remove residues without irritating the skin. Hydrate your skin: apply a nourishing cream or oil to restore the protective hydrolipidic film. When should you use a body scrub? 1 to 2 times a week for radiant skin. Before hair removal to facilitate hair extraction and prevent ingrown hairs. Before summer, for an even and long-lasting tan.   Common mistakes to avoid when using a body scrub: Even if scrubbing seems simple, some blunders can weaken the skin instead of pampering it. Here's what to avoid: Rubbing too hard: an exfoliant does not need to be aggressive to be effective. Gentle movements are enough, especially on sensitive areas or if your skin is dry. Scrubbing right after hair removal: the skin is sensitive, it's better to wait 24 to 48 hours to avoid redness and irritation. Forgetting to hydrate afterwards: exfoliation removes dead cells but also part of the hydrolipidic film. It is essential to nourish the skin immediately afterwards, with a nourishing oil or a body cream. Using a scrub on irritated skin, with wounds or acne: this risks aggravating inflammation. In this case, it is better to wait or opt for a very gentle, even enzymatic, texture. Adopt an organic body exfoliation routine with the Nohèm body scrub and rediscover soft, radiant skin perfectly prepared to receive its moisturizing treatments.

By removing makeup, you allow your skin to breathe and naturally regenerate overnight, which promotes a radiant complexion and healthier skin upon waking! How to choose your makeup remover based on your skin type? How often should you apply it? What are the differences between makeup remover lotion, makeup remover oil, and micellar water? Explanations!   What is a natural makeup remover? They are particularly effective at removing mascara, eyeliner, and long-lasting lipsticks.   When to opt for micellar water? Micellar water Micellar water is composed of micelles, small particles that attract dirt, makeup, and sebum present on the skin's surface. It is often used without rinsing, making it convenient for daily use. Micellar water is light and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Maderotherapy, also known as wood therapy or wood therapy, is a natural method that draws its inspiration from ancestral traditions, from Asia to Latin America. These tools allow for targeted pressure that stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, promotes the drainage of toxins, and contributes to body reshaping. More than just a slimming massage, this body sculpting technique also aims to reduce cellulite, firm the skin, and provide deep muscle relaxation. The physical benefits of this holistic practice Reduction of cellulite and orange peel effect: thanks to dynamic movements, maderotherapy activates lymphatic drainage and helps visibly smooth the skin. Improved blood circulation: maderotherapy rollers stimulate venous return and tissue oxygenation. Relief of muscle tension: by working on deep muscles, wood massage releases knots and promotes recovery after exercise. Body reshaping: the technique refines, sculpts, and tones targeted areas such as the thighs, stomach, or arms.   Psychological benefits Maderotherapy is not limited to the body: it also acts on the mind. Reduction of stress and anxiety: contact with natural wood has a soothing effect on the nervous system. Connection with nature: the texture of wood stimulates the senses and awakens a feeling of overall well-being. Mindfulness and creativity: the practice promotes letting go, concentration, and a sense of grounding. Supports the “Rire Médecin” association

on Dec 06 2023
The Amisse foundation created by Noémie Amisse, the creator of Nohèm, helps with the economic and human development of women and girls in France and internationally. This year, once again, Noémie renewed her commitment to an association: Le Rire Médecin! This association provides caring support throughout the year to mothers in the Nantes University Hospital maternity ward. The Foundation has reaffirmed its support for mothers in the Nantes University Hospital maternity ward in 2023 by offering them caring assistance throughout the year. Successfully launched in 2021, our project consists of the weekly intervention of a dynamic team of two professional actors from Rire Médecin: Les Chabadas. Their mission is to comfort vulnerable mothers and stimulate the bond with their newborn through the magic of music and singing. It is estimated that between 10 and 15% of women suffer from postnatal difficulties. It is in this context that the Mater-Nez program was created, inspired by the experience of the founder of Le Rire Médecin, with the aim of meeting the needs of young mothers and their newborns in delicate situations such as as social insecurity, high-risk pregnancies, trauma linked to childbirth, and much more. A team made up of 7 professional actors works as a duo half a day a week, offering moments of comfort and tenderness adapted to each mother identified as vulnerable. Since its launch in June 2021, the project has been warmly received, even exceeding our expectations, with 49 half-days of intervention during the first 6 months. On average, around ten mothers and babies benefit from our program each half-day. The actors express their gratitude for the exceptional reception of the service and underline the positive reaction of the healthcare team. The testimonies collected highlight the deep emotional impact of the interventions, strengthening the precious bond between mothers and their babies. The Chabadas' playful style, focused on gentleness and musicality, required dedicated coaching throughout the year. We are delighted to announce that the project will continue in 2023-2024, maintaining a regular weekly intervention to further support and brighten the lives of mums and their little ones. Our foundation is also proud to support Séverine Guégan and her association Parenthese rose in her sporting challenge: Raid Amazone

The Cosmos Organic and Ecocert Labels: the guarantee of true organic cosmetics

on Dec 05 2023
Labels that guarantee an authentic and eco-friendly cosmetic experience Since its creation in 2009, Nohèm has made the informed choice to place the environment and personal well-being at the heart of its cosmetic approach. A choice that is more relevant than ever, as organic cosmetics are gaining popularity every year. Among the many options available on the market, the Cosmos Organic Label stands out as the guarantor of quality and authenticity in the world of organic cosmetics. But what is the Cosmos Organic Label? We often hear about "organic cosmetics" in a generic way, but the Cosmos Organic Label provides a necessary guarantee for the notion of cosmetics that are healthy for the skin and the environment . Affixed to the packaging of certain products, this label ensures not only the use of natural ingredients, but also strict compliance with ecological and ethical standards. In other words, it is a certification that distinguishes real organic cosmetics from imitations. Our commitments to the Cosmos organic Label: By being certified Cosmos Organic, the Nohèm brand undertakes to respect a certain number of criteria: - We are committed to ensuring safe and effective cosmetics, based on ingredients from organic farming, without pesticides, respectful of health, with natural formulas free of risky and controversial ingredients. - We work in favor of organic farming and the restoration of biodiversity to counter climate change, by supporting practices that respect living things and the balance of ecosystems. - We are committed to reducing the environmental footprint of our products, from picking to packaging, with a particular focus on reducing the plastic footprint. - We create a virtuous circle by establishing ethical, fair and sustainable relationships with our producers, suppliers and collaborators, while promoting local know-how. - We communicate transparently with an educational discourse to raise awareness about the compositions of the products, the traceability of the ingredients, the advances and dilemmas that Cosmebio faces, as well as our values. - We are constantly striving to improve the Cosmos organic label and strengthen its requirements without waiting for regulations, to meet the needs and expectations of increasingly responsible cosmetics. Cosmos Organic certification guarantees: production and processing processes that respect the environment and human health the development of the concept of green chemistry responsible use of natural resources respect for biodiversity the absence of petrochemical ingredients (excluding authorized preservatives): parabens, phenoxyethanol, synthetic perfumes and dyes the absence of GMOs recyclable packaging Organic cosmetics: a no-brainer for ethics and the environment Integrating the term "organic cosmetics" into our beauty routine is a conscious choice in favor of preserving our planet and our health. Organic cosmetics encourage the use of ingredients from organic farming, thus eliminating pesticide residues present in many conventional products. The Ecocert Label: A quality indicator When you are looking for organic cosmetic products, the Ecocert Label is your trusted ally. It certifies that the formulas meet strict criteria in terms of traceability, origin of ingredients and absence of controversial substances. This certification is a guarantee of transparency for the cosmetics you buy. Natural ingredients at the heart of organic cosmetics The real secret of organic cosmetics lies in nature. Ecocert-labeled products are formulated from natural and organic ingredients, such as plant extracts, essential oils and vegetable butters. These carefully selected ingredients offer benefits for the skin without compromising the balance of the environment. A beauty product is certified COSMOS ORGANIC only if: At least 95% of the plants it contains are organic At least 20% organic ingredients are present in the formula in total (10% for rinse-off products) Please note : Water or minerals are not considered 'organic' because they are not derived from agriculture. Since water is a major component of many cosmetic formulas, this implies a dilution of the proportion of organic ingredients in the total product. Thus, a massage oil that does not contain water can display up to 100% organic ingredients. Choosing organic cosmetic products labeled Cosmos Organic and Ecocert, like the Nohèm brand, is not just a beauty choice, it is a commitment to a healthier and more sustainable life. Opting for these real organic cosmetics means contributing to the Clean Beauty movement: a world where beauty rhymes with respect for oneself and our environment.

Winter Hand Hydration: Keep Your Hands Soft and Protected

on Nov 28 2023
Days are getting shorter, temperatures are dropping, and our hands are starting to suffer from the cold. Wondering why your hands seem drier than ever this icy season? The answer is simple: they need an appropriate hand cream and a regular moisturizing routine to stay soft, supple, and protected. Why do our hands suffer so much in winter? Winter cold can be a real nightmare for the skin, and our hands are particularly vulnerable. Here are the main causes of dry hands: Dry and cold air: Freezing outdoor air, combined with indoor heating, dries out the skin and weakens the skin barrier. Thin and delicate skin: The skin on the hands is thinner than on the rest of the body, making it more sensitive to dehydration. Frequent washing: Repeated use of harsh soaps alters the hydrolipidic film and causes the water contained in the skin to evaporate. Exposure to irritants: Detergents, chemicals, and environmental conditions worsen skin dryness. Stress and diet: Stress and an unbalanced diet can accentuate hand dryness. The first signs of very dry hands Recognizing symptoms as soon as they appear is essential to prevent skin dryness from worsening: Rough or dehydrated skin: The texture of the hands becomes uneven, like fine sandpaper, a sign of lack of hydration. Redness and tightness: Temperature variations cause visible irritation and a feeling of tightness. Small cracks or chaps: Very dry hands can crack, especially on the knuckles and palms. Loss of suppleness and elasticity: Insufficiently nourished skin becomes stiff and taut. These signs indicate that your hands need a moisturizing treatment and a cream for very dry hands to strengthen the skin barrier and prevent more serious damage.   Hand hydration: adopt a routine for very dry hands Taking care of your hands is essential, especially in winter. Here is a simple but effective routine: Hand washing: Prefer lukewarm water to avoid drying out the skin. Gentle drying: Pat your hands with a clean towel instead of rubbing them. Hand cream: Apply a hand cream or cream for dry hands after each wash, enriched with shea butter, argan oil, and marula oil. Nohèm tip: Slip a small tube of organic hand cream into your bag to always have it at hand! The benefits of hydration for soft hands Prevention of chapping: Well-hydrated skin is less prone to painful cracks. Softness and suppleness: Nourishing creams improve skin texture and make it smoother and more comfortable. Enhanced protection: A healthy skin barrier prevents moisture from evaporating and protects against cold. Adopting a hydration routine with a cream for very dry hands protects your hands while making them beautiful and pleasant to the touch.   When to moisturize your very dry hands? Regularity is the key! After each wash: Washing removes impurities but also natural oils. Apply an organic hand cream or nourishing hand cream to prevent tightness and chapping. Before going out: Create a protective shield against the cold with a generous layer of cream for dry hands. Before bedtime: At night, apply a cream for very dry hands to damaged areas and possibly wear cotton gloves for prolonged hydration. After exposure to cold or household chores: Provide nourishing care for your damaged hands. Nohèm tip: Always have an organic hand cream within reach, in your bag or on your desk.   The Divine Hand and Nail Cream At Nohèm, we have designed a cream for very dry hands and fragile nails, specially formulated to deeply repair, nourish, and hydrate. Key active ingredients: Shea Butter for intense hydration Marula Oil for its repairing properties Argan Oil for soft and supple skin Its gourmet caramel sugar scent transforms each application into a sensory moment. Ideal for winter, it protects, nourishes, and softens your hands. 👉 Discover the Divine Hand and Nail Cream and prepare your hands for winter now on our website!   Additional tips for soft hands Protect your hands: Wear warm wool or leather gloves. Clean Beauty: towards healthy beauty!

on Nov 22 2023
The beauty industry has long been associated with standards of glamour and sophistication, often at the expense of the health of our skin. However, over the years, a new trend has emerged, challenging established norms and refocusing beauty on health. Clean Beauty , also known as healthy beauty, is a value that we, at Nohèm , have adopted since 2009. Today, it has become much more than just a personal preference; it is a real commitment encouraging consumers to rethink the products they apply to their skin and to favor healthier alternatives. Clean beauty: a commitment to health and the environment Let’s take a closer look at this beauty revolution to better understand its impact. Clean Beauty is distinguished above all by its commitment to safe, non-toxic and environmentally friendly ingredients . This approach contrasts with many conventional beauty products that can contain controversial substances such as parabens, sulfates and phthalates. The three fundamental pillars of Clean Beauty shape this revolution: Natural ingredients: Clean beauty products emphasize the use of natural ingredients such as essential oils , plant extracts and minerals. These components are chosen for their benefits to the skin, providing essential nutrients and vitamins. Transparency of compositions: Clean Beauty brands value transparency. They provide detailed information about the ingredients in their products , allowing consumers to make informed choices. Respect for the environment: Clean Beauty seeks to minimize its impact on the environment by using sustainable packaging and favoring nature-friendly practices throughout the production chain. The benefits of Clean Beauty By avoiding harsh chemicals, it reduces the risk of allergic reactions and skin irritations . In addition, the natural ingredients present in these products promote the skin's natural hydration , contributing to a healthy and radiant appearance . Some components, such as natural antioxidants , help protect the skin from free radical damage, which is responsible for premature aging. The transition to Clean Beauty Effectiveness of natural products Some consumers may face conflicting opinions about the effectiveness of natural products, while others may find that these alternatives come at a higher cost. Despite this, clean beauty is not just a passing trend . It’s a movement that is redefining beauty by putting health, transparency, and sustainability at the forefront. Take part in committed beauty By choosing clean beauty products, consumers actively participate in creating a more ethical and responsible beauty sector. At Nohèm, we have embraced the path of Clean Beauty for 15 years now. Our choice in favor of self-respect and the planet is reflected in our organic cosmetics composed of natural ingredients as well as through our fair commitment thanks to the Amisse foundation , with which we help women around the world in their projects. The Nohèm commitment Nohèm sources from women in the South, the producers of the raw materials at the heart of cosmetic formulations, at a fair price. This approach is in the spirit of an ethical exchange, establishing a commercial relationship that allows these women to live decently from their harvest. Together, let's redefine our relationship with beauty by adopting Clean Beauty or Clean Make-up as a sustainable and caring way of life towards ourselves and our planet."

Brown spots on the skin: understanding their origin and naturally fading them

on Nov 10 2023
Have you noticed small brown shadows appearing on your forehead, cheekbones, or hands? While completely harmless to your health, these pigment spots are often perceived as hindering facial radiance. In France, they affect over 1.8 million people. At Nohèm, we believe that an even complexion comes from a deep understanding of the skin. Here is our guide to identifying your spots and adopting the right routines to diminish them permanently. What is a pigment spot? Hyperpigmentation is the result of an overproduction of melanin, the natural pigment that gives your skin its color. Under the influence of various factors, certain areas produce this pigment in excess, creating marks ranging from light beige to dark brown. The 3 faces of brown spots Age spots (Solar lentigines): Linked to the accumulation of UV rays over the years. They often appear on the face and the back of the hands. Melasma (Pregnancy mask): Larger, diffuse patches, often triggered by hormonal variations combined with sun exposure. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: These are brown marks that persist after a blemish, cut, or burn, particularly common on medium to dark skin tones. Why do these spots appear? Identifying the cause is the first step to choosing the right treatment: Sun exposure: UV rays are the primary culprits. They attack the skin, which, to defend itself, produces melanin erratically. Skin aging: Over time, the skin regulates its pigments less effectively. Hormones: Pregnancy or contraception can sensitize melanocytes. Inflammation: Irritated or damaged skin tries to protect itself by "marking" the affected area. The Nohem ritual for an even complexion To reduce spots without irritating the epidermis, we recommend a three-pillar approach: Exfoliate, Treat, Protect. 1. Gentle exfoliation: renewing the skin Exfoliation is crucial for eliminating pigment-laden cells. Nohem's advice: Opt for gentle scrubs or enzymatic active ingredients (like fruit acids) rather than harsh chemical peels. Exfoliating 1 to 2 times a week stimulates cell renewal and brightens the complexion without creating rebound inflammation. 2. Targeted active ingredients: regulating melanin Look for treatments rich in powerful antioxidants. Vitamin C, Niacinamide, or brightening plant extracts are your best allies to slow down melanin production and lighten existing spots. Tip: Apply your serum with circular pressure to stimulate micro-circulation. 3. Sun protection: your essential shield This is non-negotiable. Without daily SPF protection (even in the city or on cloudy days), spots will darken, and treatments will lose their effectiveness. Sunscreen is the best anti-aging and anti-spot treatment there is. The holistic approach: what if it comes from within? To go beyond cosmetics, remember that your skin reflects your internal balance: Diet: Indulge in foods rich in polyphenols (green tea, berries, green vegetables) to combat oxidative stress. Gentleness: Avoid picking at blemishes to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The last word If spots persist despite a rigorous routine, do not hesitate to consult a dermatologist to consider more advanced solutions (deep peeling or laser). But never forget: healthy skin is above all protected and loved skin!

Beautiful skin, even in winter

on Oct 27 2023
Cold is our skin's number one enemy. Discover how to protect your skin from drying out with a natural and effective moisturizing routine. Why does cold make skin fragile? Winter puts our skin to the test: the cold outside, the icy wind and the temperature variations with heated interiors alter the hydrolipidic barrier . Result? The skin tightens, becomes dry and loses its radiance. Signs of dehydrated skin in winter: Tightness after showering. Redness on the cheeks and nose. Tingling sensations . Dull complexion and skin that feels rough to the touch. It's time to take action with a suitable skincare routine to restore soft, hydrated skin, even in very cold weather. 1. Adopt a hydrating facial skincare routine Clean gently Use a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser that respects your skin's protective barrier. Opt for organic cleansing oils or milks to avoid drying out. Tip: Avoid water that is too hot, which makes dehydration worse. Hydrate intensely Morning and evening, apply an organic moisturizer rich in natural active ingredients . Look for ingredients like: Hyaluronic acid : attracts and retains water in cells. Shea butter : nourishes and repairs. Aloe vera : soothes and deeply hydrates. Nourish the eye area The skin around the eyes is particularly thin and fragile. Opt for an eye contour treatment rich in moisturizing agents such as aloe vera or argan oil. 2. Pamper your body A weekly scrub Gently exfoliate once a week to remove dead cells. A natural body scrub prepares the skin to receive moisturizing treatments. A moisturizing milk or balm After each shower, apply a nourishing body balm to strengthen the skin barrier. Choose products containing: Sweet almond oil : nourishes and soothes. Cocoa Butter : Repairs dry areas. 3. Don't neglect your hands and lips Hands and lips are often the first victims of the cold. For your hands : Use a restorative cream based on shea butter. Apply generously in the evening for a nourishing "mask" effect. For your lips : Opt for an organic lip balm enriched with beeswax or shea butter to avoid chapping. Tip: Always keep your lip balm in your bag for touch-ups throughout the day. 4. Adjust your diet for glowing skin Hydration also comes from the inside! In winter, favor foods rich in: Omega-3 : present in oily fish, they strengthen the skin barrier. Vitamins A, C and E : they protect and regenerate the skin (carrots, citrus fruits, almonds). Water : Drink at least 1.5 L per day to keep your skin hydrated. 5. Nohèm treatments for hydrated and protected skin For radiant skin all winter long, discover Nohèm's natural and organic moisturizing products . Inspired by beauty rituals from around the world, our treatments combine effectiveness, sensoriality and respect for your skin: Nohèm facial moisturizer : Enriched with aloe vera and shea butter. Nohèm nourishing body cream : For soft and comfortable skin. Repairing lip balm : Your ally against chapped lips. 6. Evening routine: an essential cocooning ritual Before going to bed, treat yourself to a moment of relaxation with a complete routine: Remove your makeup with a gentle organic oil . Apply a moisturizing mask once or twice a week. Massage your face with a treatment oil to regenerate the skin during the night. Your skin will wake up more supple, soft and radiant in the morning. Protect your skin with simple actions Winter is not a fatality for your skin. With the right care, a balanced diet and a few simple actions, you can keep your skin soft, comfortable and luminous despite the freezing temperatures. 👉 Discover theNohèm organic nourishing range to face the winter in style.

The benefits of vegetable oils in our cosmetics

on Oct 20 2023
The skin plays an essential role in our daily well-being. Discover why it deserves your full attention and how plant oils can become your beauty allies. The Skin: The Largest and Most Multifunctional Organ A Natural Protective Barrier The skin is the largest organ of the human body, composed of three main layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis. It is in direct contact with the external environment and acts as a shield against aggressions (dehydration, pollution, UV rays). But that's not all! Thanks to its nerve endings, it is also responsible for the sense of touch and helps maintain optimal body temperature. The Secret to Healthy Skin: A Healthy Protective Barrier Healthy skin is protected by two essential elements: The hydrolipidic film: a mixture of water and lipids that maintains hydration. The intercellular cement: it preserves the cohesion between cells to prevent skin imbalances. These two elements form a natural barrier that keeps the skin soft, supple, and radiant. Why Choose Plant Oils to Care for Your Skin? External Aggressions That Weaken the Skin Cold, UV rays, pollution, but also internal factors such as stress or medical treatments, can weaken this protective barrier. The result? The skin becomes dry, dehydrated, and more vulnerable to external aggressions. The Benefits of Plant Oils to Strengthen the Skin Barrier Plant oils act as a true protective shield thanks to their lipid-rich composition. They: Strengthen the hydrolipidic film to limit water evaporation. Nourish dry skin by providing essential fatty acids. Hydrate dehydrated skin by maintaining water balance. Regulate combination to oily skin by limiting sebum overproduction. Each plant oil has its specific properties. Choosing the right one for your skin type is the key to reaping all its benefits. Which Plant Oils to Meet Your Needs? 1. Plant Oils for Dry Skin Argan Oil:Rich in vitamins A, C, E, and omegas 3 and 6, it deeply hydrates, reduces itching, and protects against aging. We use it in our Nohèm Africa face and body nourishing oil, produced within an ethical trade framework. Egyptian Black Seed Oil:Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, it soothes sensitive skin and protects against free radicals. Used since the time of the Pharaohs, it restores suppleness and softness. Find it in our Nohèm Africa nourishing and relaxing body oil. Marula Oil:Rich in omegas 9 and 6, it hydrates, nourishes, and fights against external aggressions. Its anti-aging properties make it a valuable ally for skin and hair. It is present in our Nohèm firming-hydrating body cream and our divine hand and foot care. 2. Plant Oils for Blemish-Prone Skin Jojoba Oil:Regulating and moisturizing, it balances sebum production and is suitable for all skin types. It is healing, regenerating, and anti-inflammatory. Discover it in our Nohèm fabulous 3-in-1 oil. Castor Oil:An excellent anti-blemish oil, it reduces acne, redness, and dark spots. Rich in fatty acids, it hydrates while stimulating collagen production. We use it in our Grand Nord anti-aging treatment and our Nohèm Ayurvedic purifying and rebalancing oil-serum. 3. Plant Oils for Mature and Sagging Skin Guarana Oil:Known for its toning properties, it improves skin elasticity and reduces spots. Antioxidant, it acts as a firming and regenerating treatment. It is incorporated into our Nohèm anti-cellulite oil for firmer and more contoured skin. How to Choose the Right Plant Oil? Each skin type has specific needs.
